The Suicide Squad: The five best characters from the movie
By Mark Lynch
4. Peacemaker
John Cena showed the world why he was cast as Peacemaker. Not just in this movie, but in his own show as well. Peacemaker is crazy. The fact that he seriously thinks violence is the cure to peace is enough. That said, the lengths he said he’d go to ensure it is even nuttier. He said he’d do things that this writer can’t repeat in this article.
Peacemaker seemed monotone, but he was full of personality. He could be funny, he loosened up at the bar and was deadly with anything in his hand. His battle with Bloodsport in the jungle is one of the highlights of the movie. It will definitely go down as one of the most entertaining action scenes of all time and he was a key part. Turning on his team wasn’t surprising. He seems like a company man.
3. Ratcatcher 2
There’s no reason that Ratcatcher 2 should be on this list. What Daniela Melchior added to her role couldn’t have been done by just anyone. On one hand, Ratchater 2 seemed lazy and uninterested in anything that was going on. However, when things got dangerous, she was just as useful and enthusiastic as everyone else. Especially in the fight against Starro.
Seeing her origin story was both creepy and sweet. The idea that the rats kept her and her father (the original Ratcatcher) warm during the winter was sad. While unfortunate, it lends to why she has the relationship with rats that she does. Adding Sebastian as her companion was a nice touch. This writer would like to see her again in a future Suicide Squad project.
