Will AMC air a new episode of The Walking Dead tonight?

When will The Walking Dead finally make its long-awaited comeback to TV screens with a new episode? That was a question that many fans of the veteran series have been asking for much of the past year. The zombie show made a comeback to AMC in October to air the final chapter of its eleventh season, airing eight new episodes on a weekly basis.

The final season of the long-running show, it initially kicked off back in August 2021, and it has allowed fans to catch up with Carol Peletier, Daryl Dixon, Rosita Espinosa, Aaron, Negan and the returning Maggie Greene for one last time. And it’s a good thing too that we got the chance to catch up with Daryl, Negan and Maggie as those three are leading two of the multiple TWD spin-offs in the works.

The show aired its long-awaited finale last week, generating a ton of conversation as old TWD fans tuned back into the milestone episode. However, if you’re unsure of whether we can expect anymore episodes, here’s what you need to know.

Is The Walking Dead new tonight, November 27?

Unfortunately, The Walking Dead has come to an end, meaning that its run is over. While season 10 did make an unexpected return after its initially-planned season finale to air six new bonus episodes (which wrapped up the aftermath of The Whisperers arc, set up the Commonwealth story and further developed Princess’ character, and delved into other characters like Carol, Daryl, and Negan in more depth), that won’t be happening this time.

Last week’s episode, titled “Rest In Peace”, wasn’t just the season 11 finale, it was the series finale, brining the show’s 12-year story to a close for good.

The good news is that we haven’t seen the last of The Walking Dead Universe or its characters.

When do The Walking Dead spinoffs air?

The Walking Dead may have come to an end, but the TWD Universe will live on in four spinoffs – three of which are brand new and will focus on established TWD characters. Meanwhile, veteran spin-off Fear The Walking Dead will return for its eighth season as well.

All of the spinoffs are set to air or return next year, with two of them having more specific release windows than the others. Here’s everything we know about when the spinoffs could premiere:

• Fear The Walking Dead (season 8) – early – mid 2023
• Daryl Dixon – 2023
• Rick and Michonne – 2023
