He’s been Batman and he’s been Beetlejuice, but Michael Keaton has also appeared in the Marvel Cinematic Universe because of course the MCU needs a little Keaton.
In 2017, the movie star played the villain Adrian Toomes a.k.a. the Vulture in Spider-Man: Homecoming. Known for darker roles even in superhero movies, Keaton brought to life a moderately haunting snowman in the 1998 holiday film Jack Frost. Although it’s not a lauded hit, the movie has emerged throughout the years as a cult favorite around the holiday season, a title some fans watch over and over each year.
Jack Frost follows the title character (Michael Keaton), an aging touring musician holding onto hope that he could someday achieve his dream of music stardom, which leaves him little time for his wife, Gabby (Kelly Preston), and young son, Charlie (Joseph Cross).
When Jack Frost suddenly dies in a car accident, Charlie plays a song on his father’s harmonica and brings him back to life as a snowman in their yard. Because of his limited second chance, Jack attempts to make up for lost time with his family. For a holiday film a touch dark but still uplifting, watch Michael Keaton in Jack Frost.
