Marvel fans were astonished after seeing this stunning video of Scott Eastwood shapening his claws as Wolverine.

Wolverine is easily one of the most popular Marvel Comics characters of all time. That goes without saying, but to take that further, he’s definitely the most popular Marvel character to have never appeared in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. But that is all set to change soon, or so it may seem. In fact, after MCU series Ms. Marvel dropped an X-Men Easter Egg, his arrival could be so much sooner than anticipated – especially since She-Hulk: Attorney At Law directly referenced him.

After Disney’s acquisition of Fox, the rights to the X-Men characters have finally found their way back to Marvel – which means that the MCU can adapt all of those personalities, including Wolverine. As for the claw-bearing hero, fans won’t even have to wait that long before the classic version of him unleashes his claws in the MCU. Hugh Jackman is set to return as the Fox version of the character in Deadpool 3.

It’s hard to imagine anyone managing to do justice to the iconic role in the way that Hugh Jackman did in Fox’s revered X-Men franchise, so we’re thankful that he’ll get the chance to play the role one more time. That said, the conversation continues as to whether we could see a different version of the character show up in the future. And that ongoing discussion among fans has led to some amazing edits.

What Scott Eastwood could look like as Wolverine in the MCU

YouTube user StryderHD has made an unforgettable impression on fans of popular franchises in recent years with a string of truly incredible videos that reimagine what certain characters could look like with different actors playing their parts. We’ve seen this through some amazing edits, including but not limited to that of Millie Bobby Brown as Star Wars legend Princess Leia and Emilia Clarke as Mera in Aquaman.

In this video above, however, Scott Eastwood’s likeness is super-imposed over the top of footage from Hugh Jackman’s various appearances in the Fox X-Men film franchise. And it’s safe to say that it results in a pretty formidable-looking Logan.

Fans were quick to praise the video, with some commenting on how Eastwood would certainly look the part as the character, especially as his father Clint Eastwood would also have made a great Wolverine in the prime of his career.

Is Scott Eastwood playing Wolverine in the MCU’s X-Men?

Hugh Jackman will be reprising his role as the Fox franchise’s Wolverine in Deadpool 3 but that appears to be a one-time thing. With the MCU currently exploring the Multiverse Saga, his return is completely believable, especially after his X-Men co-star Patrick Stewart returned as Charles Xavier, a.k.a. Professor X, in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

But with the X-Men’s arrival in the MCU’s main continuity a likely possibility in the very near-future, it’s very possible that a different, younger actor will take over the role full-time.

At this time, Marvel Studios has yet to cast anyone in the role anyone in the role. However, Scott Eastwood has found himself at the top of many fan-casting lists, with fans noting both his similarities to Jackman and Logan himself – something that made the transition in the DeepFake video so seamless.

If a new Wolverine does make his presence felt on the MCU, it goes without saying that Scott Eastwood would be a great choice to carry on his legacy as the next big screen Logan if he truly has retired from the role.
