With She-Hulk: Attorney at Law in full swing, it will leave viewers wondering which Hulk is stronger, Bruce Banner or Jennifer Walters. The answer may shock you.

The Hulk will yell very loud and proud, “Hulk is the strongest there is.” It’s an arrogant statement, but he’s proven it time and again. He’s used his unmatched strength in Marvel Comics to beat Thor, the entirety of the X-Men, and Iron Man on multiple occasions.

That’s just in the comics, though. In the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the Jade Giant has also shown that he’s not someone to be messed with. However, he’s not nearly as strong as his comic book counterpart. Especially now that Bruce Banner is the one in charge.

As we see in She-Hulk: Attorney At Law, Jennifer Walters is only a few months into having her new abilities. In that short amount of time, she’s grasped some of what it means to have incredible power by completing all of the training that Bruce put her through with ease and style. It helped that she’s the only voice in her head. Bruce even had to admit he was jealous when he found that out (this writer thinks she does and it will come out later).

Now that Jennifer Walters is a Hulk, she’s in an elite group of beings. The ones that can change the course of a battle with one punch. In fact, Jennifer can change the course of a fight with one clap of her hands. Now that there are two Hulks in the MCU, which one of them is stronger? It’s not as clear as you may think.

She-Hulk or He-Hulk

The thing that makes Hulk stronger as the fight continues is his anger. As the phrase goes, the madder he is, the stronger he is. Getting hit over and over will make anyone angrier as the fight continues. It’s one of the reasons the Incredible Hulk rarely loses. As Bruce Banner, however, there is probably a baseline to how strong he can get. He won’t get as vexed as his other personality will. He’s usually calm and enjoys it. Because of that, it leaves people to wonder if Jennifer is stronger.

Bruce told Jennifer that their triggers are anger and fear. Jennifer let her cousin know something that he may not have realized. She said, “Those are, like, the baseline for any woman just existing.” Does that mean she doesn’t get stronger because she’s always on guard? That’s possible. However, as it was shown in the premiere of She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, always being a certain way doesn’t mean that you can’t get angrier. The guys outside the bar quickly found out that they should have backed off when she asked them too. This could mean there’s more levels of anger which will result in higher levels of strength.

Which Hulk is stronger?

As of right now, Bruce Banner is still the strongest Hulk. When the two cousins had their fight, it was pretty even. However, there wasn’t anything Jennifer could do to hurt Bruce. That could be attributed to Jennifer not knowing what she’s capable of. Her thunder-clap worked, but it took more of a build up. Bruce only needed one.

This is where it gets tricky. In Jennifer’s defense, they weren’t trying to hurt each other. Things may have been different if she was truly enraged since Bruce isn’t in touch with his inner monster. That said, Jennifer’s life may prove to be more difficult than her cousin’s. This means she could reach a level that Bruce can’t get to since he’s still Smart-Hulk. That leaves this writer to believe that Jennifer has the potential to be stronger.

Jennifer Walters has spent her entire life not letting the anger out. Because of how the world looks at angry women, she always had to remain quiet or let it out in private. Now, she’s Mean and Green. The world has to fear her instead of the other way around. She’s free to be as angry as she wants.

Until Bruce becomes the rage monster that everyone knows, She-Hulk may be the strongest there is.
