Fans have longed to see Dylan O’Brien take over the role of The Flash from Ezra Miller in The Flash, and now we know what he could look like in the role.

There has been a lot of uncertainty regarding the future of the long-in-the-works The Flash movie in recent months. After being announced way back in 2014, the Warner Bros. superhero film has been hit with one controversy after another.

The film has gone through several directors, seen roles recast and been delayed on more than a few occasions leaving many to question whether the movie would ever even see the light of day.

Most recently, the future of the film and franchise has come into question due to the string of controversies surrounding the actor playing the film’s title character, Ezra Miller.

While the film is finished, Miller’s recent arrests and the ever-growing list of allegations against the actor have led to a wave of speculation that Warner Bros. is looking to recast the role with Teen Wolf star Dylan O’Brien emerging as the favorite for the role.

What Dylan O’Brien could look like as The Flash

As speculation continues to run rampant over whether Dylan O’Brien will be taking over the role of Barry Allen in The Flash,  Rahal Nejraoui has given fans their first look at what O’Brien could look like in the role of The Flash!

In the stunning concept art, O’Brien suits up as the Scarlet Speedster donning the hero’s signature red suit with the Speed Force charging through him in a visual that is truly jaw-dropping!

Although the artist behind the art is just as uncertain over O’Brien’s potential future with DC as we all are, he’s made a compelling case via the concept art of why O’Brien would make a perfect Barry Allen. Not only does O’Brien look absolutely amazing in character rocking The Flash’s suit, but fans of the actor know how incredible he is at balancing comedic and dramatic tones which would make him perfect for the role.

Is Dylan O’Brien replacing Ezra Miller as The Flash?

Despite Ezra Miller’s ever-growing list of troubles, Warner Bros. Discovery does not seem to have any plans to replace them with Dylan O’Brien or any other actor for that matter. Instead, the plan seems to be for The Flash film to push ahead without any casting changes being made to the film — which is understandable.

While Miller has found themselves surrounded in controversy, The Flash film is said to be complete and Warner Bros. has already put a lot of money into the film. If they were to recast the lead role, that would entail countless reshoots and would set the film back even further.

Considering Warner Bros. Discovery is in cost-cutting mode at the time, there’s just no way they’d pay to bring in a replacement and do extensive reshoots. Instead, it’s more likely WB Discovery would scrap the film entirely before even considering recasting the role.

Warner Bros. also seems to be firmly standing behind Miller, having shown support for the film on several occasions and standing by Miller. However, recent weeks have seemed outlets begin to take note of the role Miller has played in ending the Fantastic Beasts franchise which has many questioning whether their controversies could cause DC to reevaluate their plans for the future.

With James Gunn taking over the reins of DC, the director has made it clear he’s planning on listening to the fans. If that is the case, he’ll surely take note of the cries to recast Miller.

Should that day come, there are definitely plenty of arguments for why O’Brien would be a perfect Flash and we’d love to see him finally suit up for a superhero project!
