The Mandalorian season 3 is almost upon us. When does the Star Wars spinoff show make its return to Disney Plus?
It’s been a minute since The Mandalorian streamed new episodes. Actually, it’s been several minutes. So many that we couldn’t even think of counting them. Okay, you probably get the picture now.
The Star Wars series was the first ever Disney Plus original show to stream on the platform, landing on its launch day in 2019. Its second season premiered the year after that, finishing its run in December 2020. We didn’t know it then, but the wait that came after that was immense, and long. Very, very long.
That wait, however, is almost over as the show is preparing to return for its third season. Here’s when you can expect it.
The Mandalorian season 3 release date
The Mandalorian season 3 will premiere on Disney Plus on Wednesday, March 1 2023. It will be available to stream from 12:00 a.m. PT, 3:00 a.m. ET, and 2:00 a.m. CT.
The show was initially planning a February return date (though the date itself was never actually announced) before Disney Plus confirmed that it would premiere on the first day of March instead. And, all things considered, it’s really not that long of a delay.
The first look trailer was revealed at D23 last year, and the second one during the ESPN NFL Super Wild Card Game on January 16 2023. It’s clear that Lucasfilm and Disney want everyone to know that the Star Wars show is finally on its way back to screens, and honestly, who could blame them?
The Mandalorian is arguably Disney Plus’ best show, but the landscape has changed a lot since it aired new episodes (mainly due to Marvel’s reign over the service’s original content bracket), so will it return with its momentum intact? Something tells us that is a certainty!
