Pierce Brosnan, the perfect Doctor Fate

Pierce Brosnan was the perfect Doctor Fate, and while an origin story isn’t needed, we’d love to see him return to the role in a magic-filled dark fantasy film. One story that would make for a great follow-up film would see Doctor Fate and Blue Beetle.

Fans are about to see Blue Beetle in live-action with Cobra Kai star Xolo Maridueña playing the role of Jaime Reyes. If the movie does well, Gunn could opt for a sequel and there’s the perfect story to tell — DC Universe Rebirth Blue Beetle (2016) No. 10, written by Keith Giffen. Art and Cover by Scott Kolins.

In the pages of DC Comics, Doctor Fate teams up with Blue Beetle (Jaime Reyes), Teri, Ted Kord, and Omac to fight the monster Arion and save the world from his wrath. Dr. Fate uses his magic to aid in the battle and ultimately helps to seal Arion in prison.

They all work together as a team to defeat the enemy, rather than fighting against each other. Ted Kord could make for a great addition as the man in the seat aiding the team in their fight against Arion. To bring some familiarity, this movie could replace Omac with Atom Smasher, who Doctor Fate could call to help out.
