Zangief – Stefan Kapičić
Zangief is one of the most iconic and recognizable characters in the Street Fighter universe, with a towering and muscular build, a fearsome reputation as a wrestler, and a distinctive red mohawk. While he’s typically portrayed as a villain, Zangief could also make for an interesting and complex foil character in a film adaptation.
Given his history with both Ryu and Ken, who are often portrayed as the heroic leads, Zangief could be an unwilling aid to the heroes despite not liking them very much. Perhaps he has a rivalry with Ryu or Ken that dates back to their training days, or maybe he resents their more refined fighting styles compared to his brute strength. This would create an interesting dynamic where Zangief is forced to work with the heroes in order to achieve a common goal, despite his personal feelings towards them.
Stefan Kapičić, who is best known for his role as Colossus in the Deadpool films, would make for an excellent choice to play Zangief. With his towering physique and commanding presence, Kapičić could bring a level of physicality and intensity to the role that would make Zangief a formidable opponent for the heroes. Additionally, his experience in portraying a heroic character in the Deadpool films would make him a great choice for a character that is more complex than just a straight-up villain.
