17. Lyla Michaels

When it comes to making sure that your presence is felt, there is no one better than Lyla Michaels. After all, she is an ARGUS agent and John Diggle’s ex-wife. But that’s not all. She is also a bad a** character with the ability to make an impression just by walking into a room.

Whether she is helping Team Arrow, working with the government, or working to repair her relationship with Diggle, Lyla Michaels is the kind of supporting character that really helped to make the series shine. Every single time that Lyla shows up on our screens, you pretty much know things are a mess in Star City. And that is what makes her so much fun.

Lyla Michaels isn’t the one bringing the trouble, but she is definitely there to try and put a stop to it.

However, I think the thing I like the most about Lyla is her relationship with Diggle. Not only do we get to see them figure themselves out, but we also get to see her as a mother and a leader. She is not just one thing and knowing that she is the actual director of this government agency makes her even more of a brilliant character because we know that she is fierce in all aspects of her life.

And in terms of making an impact on the series, you have to admit that just the fact that she has such a deep connection to John Diggle was going to make her an important character, even if she was never considered a main character.
