3. The Boys season 2

The Boys season 2 premiered on Amazon Prime Video premiered on Sept. 4, 2020, and ran through Oct. 9. Amazon changed up the release schedule for season 2 and released the season weekly instead of all at once, and it worked out really well for the second season. It definitely had the intended effect to create some extra buzz for the season.

The second season continued the story of Butcher (Karl Urban), Hughie (Jack Quaid), and the rest of “the boys.” In season 2, Butcher puts his plan to rescue Becca into motion, while the rest of the gang tries to stop Vought and the Seven. Even Annie January (Erin Moriarty), aka Starlight, is working as a double agent! Unfortunately, the Boys are up against it as a new member of the Seven, Stormfront (Aya Cash), is working to implement a master plan.

The Boys season 2 definitely has a bit of a different feel. It’s clear that the writers had bigger, more ambitious intentions after the success of the first season.

It’s so hard to rank The Boys season 2 as the worst season of The Boys so far. It’s a GREAT season, and it has so many incredible moments, but it’s just a little bit worse than the first and the third season of the series.
