3 MCU characters we’d bring back from the dead (and 3 we wouldn’t)
2. Yondu
The second character we firmly believe should be left at peace is Yondu, and much like Gamora, his sacrifice in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 held immense significance. Yondu’s selfless act to save Peter Quill (Star-Lord) etched a lasting impression, and resurrecting him would risk diminishing the profound impact of his ultimate sacrifice.
At that moment, Yondu’s character arc found closure as he and his adoptive son, Peter Quill, reconciled their complex relationship. This touching resolution left audiences with a sense of emotional fulfillment, solidifying Yondu’s place as a deeply cherished character within the MCU.
As much as we admire Yondu’s charismatic presence, his journey feels complete, and attempting to bring him back may rob his narrative of the sorrow it carries. The absence of any foreseeable new developments for the character further solidifies our belief that his story should be left undisturbed.
Letting Yondu rest in peace honors the authenticity of his character’s growth and ensures that the weight of his sacrifice remains untarnished. His legacy, intertwined with the bond he shared with Peter Quill, remains a clear reminder of the profound impact a well-crafted character can have on audiences.
