9. Wonder Man
Wonder Man is another character people have been asking for ever since the first Avengers film hit screens. And every time he’s brought up it seems to go absolutely nowhere.
If you’re not sure who Wonder Man is, Simon Williams used to work with his brother Eric trying to embezzle money from their dad’s business. As criminal plans go in the Marvel world, things escalated and suddenly the Brothers Williams found themselves in front of Baron Zemu who offered them a chance to work with him on one condition, they’d have to undergo an experimental procedure to create people with super-human abilities.
Over time, Simon Williams saw the error of his ways and became the powerful Wonder Man. His brother Eric did not and became the horrifying villain known as the Grim Reaper. The two have spent decades fighting each other and, because of their weird energy-based powers, they’d both died more times than I can count only to come back later more powerful than before.
Eric Williams has continued to become a worse and worse criminal whereas Simon Williams, when he’s not an Avenger, finds himself as one of the most popular actors in the Marvel realm.
This is what could make a fantastic movie for Simon. Have a scene where the rich and successful Simon needs to take a break from the Avengers because he found out his brother Eric has returned, seemingly from the dead, leading to Wonder Man having to track the Grim Reaper down.
There’s enough here to be able to knock out a basic but entertaining action film and it’s stunning they haven’t done it yet.
