Agents Of SHIELD Season 4, Episode 8 Synopsis: “The Laws Of Inferno Dynamics”

This week on Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD, the team and Ghost Rider join forces to save Los Angeles.

Last week on Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD‘s “Deals With Our Devils” episode, the team searched for their lost comrades who were actually stuck in another dimension after Eli Morrow’s machine activated.

Coulson, Fitz, and Reyes emerged last week, but soon discovered they were essentially ghosts. The rest of the team went straight into action and did everything they could to find them. As “ghosts,” the lost three also witnessed things not privy to people with a physical form.

Reyes saw his Uncle Eli as he truly was—someone after power, and willing to kill for it. Fitz discovered that Director Mace had sent Jemma on a dangerous mission. And Coulson found out the lengths May will go to in order to save her friends.

Little did Reyes know, Ghost Rider needed another host—so he chose Mack. Now possessed, Mack takes off. Daisy quickly went after him with Reyes hitching a ride. In the final showdown, Reyes made a new deal with Ghost Rider: he’ll become Ghost Rider again and help him catch Eli in addition to all of Ghost Rider’s targets.

May presents Radcliffe with the Darkhold, but Radcliffe gets completely freaked out by its power and information. AIDA steps in and volunteers her services—that’s when she’s revealed as an android to the rest of the team. She works quickly—building a machine and setting it up—and is able to pull Coulson and Fitz out of their ghostly dimension. After a while, Reyes also emerges from the same portal.

This week is the mid-season finale and we’ll see Ghost Rider teaming up with the agents to save Los Angeles. If we’re lucky, we may also see what AIDA is up to with that brain she’s been designing post-Darkhold enlightenment. Here’s the official synopsis:
