Beware the Batman Seems Officially Dead

If you were a fan of Cartoon Network’s Beware the Batman animated show, I have bad news.

Last year poor ratings and reviews prompted CN to yank the show off the air after only 11 episodes. They never confirmed nor denied whether the show was dead or simply being retooled. Well, the network just released its new schedule of shows…and Beware the Batman is nowhere to be found.

Even though the blu-ray of the series that was recently released was entitled “season one, part one”, this news seems to indicate that there will be no more episodes to come.

Personally, I’m fine with this. Warner Brothers had a good thing going with Bruce Timm and Paul Dini. The two creators did a bang-up job with Batman: TAS, Superman, Justice League, Justice League Unlimited, Batman Beyond and more. Since moving away from the team, DC has had its fair share of misfires.

This seemed a perfect example.
