35. Hawkeye – Arizona

What comes to mind when you think of Arizona? Heat? Deserts? The state of Arizona is known for all of this and more.

Arizona was the 49th state to join the Union in 1912. It’s nicknamed the Grand Canyon State for obvious reasons. The state has beautiful things of wonder to see like the Petrified and Painted Forest. Arizona is one of the few places in the country that has all three major sports teams (Arizona Diamondback, Arizona Cardinals, and the Phoenix Suns) and their wildlife includes desert animals like the gila monster, the prairie dog, and coyotes.

Who better to pair with Arizona than Clint Barton, who is the first character who comes to mind here.

Arizona is one of the states people often overlook even though it has a ton of wonderful things to see and people who have grown up there (like Steven Spielberg). Hawkeye (or Ronin now) is looked at as one of the lesser Avengers. He doesn’t have any powers and doesn’t have the flash that Iron Man, Captain America, and Thor have.

Nonetheless, Hawkeye is a hidden gem just like Arizona. Also, Hawkeye has appeared in almost as many films as the rest of the Avengers just like the Grand Canyon remains one of the most visited tourist destinations in the country. Both are underrated places in the country.
