1. Timothée Chalamet

That brings us to our No.1 selection which is, of course, who the recent Robin hype all started with: Timothée Chalamet.

It’s hard to summarize everything that the young actor has accomplished in his young career because so much of it has happened in the last few years, but like so many others on this list, he started acting from a very young age.

Though his recurring role on Homeland garnered him some mainstream attention, that couldn’t compare to the level of success he achieved for his Academy Award-nominated performance in Call Me by Your Name.

It’s true that, since then, Chalamet has been incredibly busy working on other award darlings like Lady Bird and Beautiful Boy, as well as Netlix’s The King and the upcoming Little Women remake, but that doesn’t mean we can’t take a moment to fantasize about how great it would be to see him don that iconic domino mask in a Batman film.

Chalamet’s performances are ones that should be marvelled at, so you could rest assured that no matter which Robin he tackled, he would gives us something equally as awe-inspiring. He’s got all the range to pull off any of them.

From the power determination for Dick Grayson to that unmistakable boy-next-door look for Tim Drake, he’d make a great reliable Boy Wonder for Batman. That said, he’s also capable of pulling off mysterious and likable bad boys – something we saw him embody really well as Finn Walden on Homeland – so he’d undoubtedly ace the rebelliousness of Jason Todd and Damian Wayne.

He looks like Robin, and as far as bringing Robin to life goes, his performances speak for themselves. That’s why he’d be a perfect choice for DC’s iconic Bird Boy in The Batman and/or the DCEU – and one that this writer pegged as his ideal Robin ever since he saw him perform on Homeland seven years ago.

Make it happen, Warner Bros.
