Why Sentry must be the next big superhero to enter the MCU
Why else could he be important?
In addition to his near-unrivaled power and extremely unique origin story, one of the Sentry’s defining characteristics is undoubtedly his unstable mental health.
Now, in the real world, we’re currently living in a time when mental health is becoming an increasingly important topic all around the globe – because, to be quite frank about it, it’s at an all-time low right now.
What better way could there possibly be to highlight it as an important topic than by bringing a character with mental health issues into the most popular movie franchise of all time?
Robert Reynolds would be an utterly priceless addition to the MCU on several levels and could end up saving lives both on screen and in the real world – and how incredibly cool would that be?
If struggling MCU fans see a superhero also having problems with regards to their mental well-being, it could encourage them to speak up about their own issues – you know, as opposed to potentially doing something unspeakable when they’re feeling down.
If anyone can think of a better reason to introduce the character into the franchise than that, we’d love to hear it!
Over to you, Marvel Studios! You know what to do!
