2. He’s an authentic performer

Playing the role isn’t the only quality that makes the veteran actor fit for this mantle, no, you have to be more than that behind the camera as well.

Reeves is renowned for being an introvert, so there isn’t much known about his personal life… and yet, from all that he’s been through, it’s clear that he is a genuine and passionate human being that we can all learn from.

As Lifehack.com explores, Reeves’ passion for acting doesn’t stem from making money, but it gives him an outlet to perform authentically; to make the world a better place. It’s clear that Keanu is more than capable of not only mastering the Moon Knight character but he is also capable of bringing the character – and the underlying pain of Marc Spector himself – to life… which is a huge valley Marvel undoubtedly plans to dive into.

The character goes through trials and tribulations in the comics as he battles himself and navigates the difficulties of self-identification. That type of story arc requires an authentic performance – something Reeves is no stranger to delivering. Again, not much is known about his personal life but he has experienced some trauma in his lifetime. He didn’t, however, let life keep him down. He rose above the opportunity to self destruct and exploded onto the screen for the world to see, channeling all of that into some of the greatest performances in Hollywood history.

It’s clear from his performances that Reeves possesses an incredible ability in terms of drawing from these internalized pains and experiences to use that as fuel to ignite his characters. This is a quality that both Marc Spector and Moon Knight need, and Reeves could give it to them.
