WandaVision fan theories: Ultron will return in WandaVision

Several veteran villains will be making a comeback, including the infamous Loki, who is getting his own Disney+ series. The Falcon and The Winter Soldier series will see the return of Zemo from Captain America: Civil War and Batroc from Captain America: Winter Soldier. This leads many to wonder who, if any, will be making a comeback for WandaVision, and really only one name comes to mind that may have an ax to grind with Ms. Maximof.

Wanda has encountered several formidable foes since her MCU debut, but with the exception of the Mad Titan Thanos, one of the most personal is probably the menacing A.I. Ultron from Avengers: Age of Ultron. Had Scarlet With and her brother not betrayed the Avengers enemy, then his plan may have been a success. If he is still out there, he’d probably want some payback.

Both Vision and Ultron were created with the Mind Stone, and the Infinity gem also activated Wanda’s powers, so there is a connection between the three of them to warrant such a comeback. There could have been some trace of Ultron that stayed in the Mind Stone and experienced everything Vision did. Seeing the immense power she possesses, he most likely realizes he will have to take a different approach to manipulate her this time.

Pretending to be Vision, he could slowly reignite the vengeful fire inside her and convince her to join forces with him, allowing him to carry out any of his plans easily. Ultron is definitely the kind of villain that fans would love to see go toe-to-toe with Wanda, and since she can’t get revenge on Thanos for Vision, Scarlet Witch would love to get some payback against the artificial intelligence that killed her brother Quicksilver in WandaVision.
