The Falcon and The Winter Soldier: 5 best moments from “Power Broker”
By Liam Clark
2. Zemo dons the mask
Speaking of brutal action, Zemo gets his own chance to shine during the third act of the episode. After being heavily watched by Sam and Bucky throughout the entire episode, Zemo is able to escape their sight during the chaos of an explosion at the shipping yard.
When the villain reappears, however, he appears in his full trench coat and purple mask (a comic-accurate look indeed), as he causes another explosion and brutalises a number of bounty hunters and kills them quite easily. The Sokovian showcases that he has a multitude of troubling talents and combat abilities, as the series continues to highlight and explore many aspects of his character which were not really present during his appearance in Captain America: Civil War.
This unnerving skills from the Baron, added with the reveal that Zemo is quite wealthy, helps paint a fierce adversary that the titular characters will have to be wary of, considering he is now showcasing extreme intelligence and combat skills. There is no doubt Zemo will betray Sam and Bucky at some point, and there are a number of moments throughout “Power Broker” – particularly this one in the mask – that suggest he will be a major threat when he does.
