4. Jane Foster

After Original Sin, Thor was unworthy of Mjolnir. When that happened, Jane Foster was transported to the moon and lifted the hammer. She became Thor. Not Lady Thor. She was the God of Thunder. And along the way, she became an Avenger on a very different team. She was with Iron Man, Miles Morales, Ms. Marvel, Nova (Sam Alexander), Vision, and Captain America (Sam Wilson).

During that time, Sam and Jane Foster had a relationship. Sometimes it was even romantic as they shared a kiss that Sam described as kissing a goddess. As great as their loving relationship was, their friendship may have been even better. It was sweet. Sam was one of the few people who knew about Jane Foster’s secret identity and her cancer. The fact that she trusted him says a lot about him as a person.

3. Costume Evolution

To say that some of the costume designs back in the early days of comic books were bad is an understatement. Some of them remain iconic decades later but Sam Wilson’s was not one of them – especially not his first one. Thankfully, as time went on, his costume improved.

The open chest look was awful and went on for years. Once they closed up his chest, things started to get better. The Captain America costume and his newest one may be the best of them all. It was also great that he was given wings made by T’Challa.
