Best DC movies and shows on HBO Max: Justice League Dark: Apokolips War

Zack Snyder’s Justice League is the end of the Snyder-Verse for now, but that didn’t sit well with a lot of fans that would really like some closure when it comes to the Knightmare sequence, Darkseid, and the Anti-Life equation. Luckily for those out there looking for this kind of experience, there is a cinematic cartoon caper that tells a similar story with Darkseid and one that finishes off a 15-film arc leaving viewers very satisfied.

Justice League Dark: Apokolips War is a sequel to Justice League: Dark and acts as the thrilling concussion to the DC Universe Animated Movie Universe storyline. The film follows an unsuccessful attack on Darkseid on his home planet of Apokolips, with many of the characters involved in the raid either killed or enslaved. The surviving members of The Suicide Squad, Teen Titans, Justice League Dark, and Justice League must unite to stop Darkseid once and for all in what turns out to be one truly epic battle.

The film has a perfect Rotten Tomatoes score, and Jesse Schden from IGN movies gave the film high praise for its ability to effectively close out the DC Animated Universe:

"“This film takes full advantage of the fact that it’s the final chapter in a 15-movie arc. Its narrative veers into some very surprising and compelling directions, and somehow it manages to pay off on loose ends from across the DCU.”"

The 90-minute endeavor is one of the best the animated world of DC movies has to offer will definitely cure the blues any DCEU fan is feeling right away.
