Best DC movies and shows on HBO Max: Green Lantern: Emerald Knights

Except for a quick cameo in the flashback sequences of both the 2017 Justice League film and Zack Snyder’s Justice League, Green Lantern has been missing from the DCEU’s lineup so far. The last time he was on the big screen was the Ryan Reynolds flick that even he wishes he could forget. For fans out there that need their jade will fix, then Green Lantern: Emerald Knights is the DC animated flick to see.

The film follows an anthology format where it tells different stories featuring members of the Green Lantern Corps like Abin Sur, Laira, Kilowog, and Mogo. Critics gave high praise to the movie’s action sequences, visuals, and voice acting, which were all superb from start to finish.

While most stories involve the Lanterns focus on Hal Jordan, this one gives fans some essential insight into some other characters that wear the ring. Two of the stories are adapted from stories written by Alan Moore, and even though it shares the same name, it is not related in any way to Emerald Knights, the comic book from 1981.

Green Lantern: Emerald Knights is a top-quality DC animated title that will bring DCEU fans that feel they are missing out on the Green Lantern Corps.
