Best DC movies and shows on HBO Max: Batman: Assault on Arkham

No matter what anyone says, the narratives of the DCEU pale in comparison in every way thinkable to the Arkham video games. Whether fans prefer Arkham City or Arkham Knight, there is no shortage of superbly crafted storylines featuring a plethora of exceptionally designed villains within the immortalized video game franchise. And the fun didn’t stop with just the games as the series spawned a magnificent animated feature called Batman: Assault on Arkham that takes place after the events of Arkham Origins and two years before what went down in Arkham Asylum.

Batman: Assault on Arkham sees the Caped Crusader looking for a bomb planted by The Joker, but he isn’t the only one on the case. Amanda Waller assembles a team of villains with explosives implanted in their necks to find the flow prince of Gotham’s exploding device before it’s too late. The crew is made up of Harley Quinn, Deadshot, Killer Frost, King Shark, Black Spider, Captain Boomerang, and KGBeast.

Suicide Squad did win an Oscar, but it was kind of a bummer for some, and while it doe seem like James Gunn’s The Suicide Squad will be a redeeming endeavor for the antihero group if fans need to get some good Task Force X mayhem, the Jay Olivia and Ethan Spaulding-directed DC Universe Original movie is an absolutely superb choice.
