3. Sam’s inspiring speech

As we all know, Steve Rogers was the undisputed champion of giving pep talks and rousing speeches and while no one may ever beat the former Captain America in that field, Sam proved that he’s a more than worthy successor as he too can inspire people and deliver a rousing speech as well.

After Karli is defeated and the new Captain America is greeted by the hostages he had saved, he gives the Senator and politicians a message – one that they really needed to hear. He discusses his status as a black Captain America – a poignant moment after the show’s thought-provoking look into America’s dark past – and how the world needs to do better so that nobody is left behind, asking everyone to think about why Karli and the Flag Smashers did what they did.

Even fellow Marvel stars were impressed with Sam’s speech, with Shang-Chi himself, Simu Liu, commenting that Sam spoke “like a true Captain America.”

His words resulted in changes occurring, as the GRC decide to turn back on their vote – yes, the one that the Flag Smashers had attempted to stop. Sam Wilson is, without question, Captain America.
