Greatest comic book characters – 96. Alana

First appearance: Saga No. 1

Saga is another classic comic book that everyone needs to read. One of the stars of this series is Alana, a woman fighting for her and her family’s lives. She’s had to do things she never envisioned herself doing. If it meant keeping the people she loves safe, Alana would do them again.

As many amazing characters as there are in this title, Saga doesn’t work without her. She encompasses everything that it takes to be a hero, mother, and wife. Her overall badass doesn’t seem to have an end. She continues to impress from the very first issue to the last. Hopefully, this will be turned into an animated series. The world needs to meet her.

Greatest comic book characters – 95. Damian Wayne

First comic book appearance: Batman No. 655

Damian Wayne’s another character that evolved over the years. Unlike Jason Todd when he was Robin, his annoyance was accepted. When you’re the son of Batman and Talia Al Ghul, your arrogance is justified. That, plus Damian can back it up. He can beat people double his size and triple his age.

Damian’s personality was base for a while. A petulant and narcissistic child. That hasn’t changed. The difference is he’s added to his personality. His relationship with Jonathan Kent helped. With Jon, Damian saw things in a different light. It’s a good thing they met. It’s not like Bruce Wayne is a beacon of optimism.
