1. Black Widow by Kelly Thompson and Elena Casagrande

The most recent series on this list, this is the current, ongoing Black Widow series that Marvel is publishing right now and it is utterly fantastic. In this writer’s opinion, it’s the best series that Marvel is publishing at this moment in time. Writer Kelly Thompson and artist Elena Casagrande hit a home run month-in and month-out with this series and it keeps you craving more. Currently only eight issues into its run, with the eighth issue having come out just last week at the time of writing this, now is the perfect time to catch up with this series.

And, even though this series focuses on Natasha, Yelena plays a major role as well and it’s arguably the best she’s ever been as a character. We get to see her as a proper ally and sister-like figure to Natasha, and vice versa, which is incredibly enjoyable to read whenever they share a scene. This series is probably the most similar to the film that their relationship has ever been like in the comics. It’s so great just seeing Natasha and Yelena come together and discuss ways in order to break down the crime syndicates in San Francisco and then seeing them following through on taking them down.

These aren’t the only stories that you can read when it comes to Yelena and Natasha though, however, these three stories are the absolute best places to start.

Black Widow is in theaters and on Disney+ Premier Access now.
