Funny Venom

“Skrulls make me gassy, Ozman”

After the Skrulls were defeated, Norman Osborn was put in charge. One of the first things he did was take his Thunderbolts and make them Avengers. Among those Thunderbolts was Mac Gargan (who went from Venom to Spider-Man). Before Norman made him an Avenger, though, he was sending Skrulls into Mac’s cell to be Venom-food. After eating them, Mac said Skrulls made him gassy. This was information that no one knew… or needed to know.

Helmet head

Venom isn’t a serious character – and that’s no matter who’s using the symbiote. Although, Mac Gargan may have been the goofiest of them all. In one particular issue of Thunderbolts, Mac was being mind-controlled by prisoners in Thunderbolt Mountain. They made him kill and eat a plethora of the security in the mountain. After beating one of them, he decided to put their helmet on. Why he did it is unclear. Regardless of the reason, it was funny seeing a giant monster in a tiny helmet.

Venomsaurus Rex

Old Man Logan had perverse versions of the characters we know. There were also some funny ones too. Among them was a Venomized tyrannosaurus. We didn’t see much of it except when it was chasing Logan and Hawkeye. Seeing a T-Rex in a symbiote suit is something that will always make this writer smile.
