10 Marvel, DC and comic book characters (and their biggest weaknesses)
By Mark Lynch
6. Deadpool
Weakness: Himself
Like Wolverine, Deadpool has a healing factor. It was actually based off of Logan’s. The funny thing is Deadpool heals faster. He may have already survived drowning. Wade has endured more pain and suffering than almost anyone. Some of it is self-inflicted, which leads us to his weakness. Wade is his own worst enemy.
Anyone who’s encountered Deadpool knows that he’s the only thing that can stop him. Usually, when Wade loses, it’s because of something he did. A lot of the time it’s his own insecurities or need to be loved. A perfect example of that is when he followed Hydra Steve Rogers (Secret Empire). It was a moment that ruined his life. Even though he’s been told to get his life together, Wade never does. Wade will always be Deadpool’s weakness.
5. Venom
Weakness: Loud noises and fire
The symbiotes are a race called Klyntars and they’re tough to beat. Bullets go through them and punches and kicks sometimes have zero effect on them at all. There have even been times when their limbs have been cut off and they’ll just reattach it. If you want to stop Venom, Carnage, or any other symbiotes, you’ll only need two things. A speaker or a box of matches.
The symbiotes are stronger than a lot of beings in Marvel Comics. Especially Venom after his upgrade in King in Black. However, fire and sonic sounds hurt them so much it almost paralyzes them. No matter how powerful they are, symbiotes can be defeated with fire or extremely loud noises.
