8 American Horror Story actors who should play comic book characters
By Mark Lynch
Leslie Grossman
Leslie Grossman has been incredible and people really need to appreciate her more. She’s been a great addition wherever she shows up. Her crowning role may have been in American Horror Story: 1984 where she played Margaret Booth. Boothe was selfish, and conniving. However, in AHS: Apocalypse, she played a self entitled, rich woman who was revealed to be a selfless witch. The combination of both roles makes her the perfect person to play Myrtle Spurge in Sex Criminals.
Comic book character: Myrtle Spurge
Myrtle Spurge went through a big change towards the end of Sex Criminals. However, before that, she was a strict, “time boss.” As the story progresses, we find out has a lot of love to give. The problem with her is she didn’t know how to balance her home life, her paying job, and her other obligations to her extracurricular activities. This led to her making decisions that disrupted her entire life.
Leslie Grossman could play this character in her sleep. The kind of performance she’d put on could be award winning. Their are times in Sex Criminals where you’ll hate Spurge. Then she’ll turn around and give you reasons to love her. Grossman would truly bring both of those moments to life better than anyone.
