8. T’Challa is a Game of Thrones fan

There are a lot of things you can say about T’Challa. He’s a man of morals, a top-tier fighter, and an asset to every superhero team he’s been on. One thing that may not be known is that he’s a fan of the Game of Thrones books. How did this knowledge come to pass? Deadpool wanted to prove that he could annoy him.

In Deadpool No. 15 by Gerry Duggan (a Marvel Comics Civil War 2 crossover) Wade went to the Triskelion. On his way out, he’s confronted by the Black Panther. During the fight, T’Challa says that Wade can’t harm him. Wade agreed and said that he could annoy him. T’Challa disagreed. Wade responded with a theory on how Game of Thrones might end. When T’Challa heard that, said, “If you have spoiled Mr. Martin’s books, every day of the rest of your life will be a Red Wedding.”

7. Science and magic

T’Challa is one of the smartest people in Marvel Comics. So much so that geniuses like Tony Stark and Reed Richards go to him for help. It’s because T’Challa never stops learning. It’s not just science. He started diving into magic after his incident with Doctor Doom (Black Panther 2009-2010). The things he learned helped him heal faster than with just medical science. It also assisted him during Avengers vs X-Men.
