Chris Hemsworth thinks the next Thor movie needs a new tone (and he’s right)
By Mark Lynch
In conclusion…
Let this writer be clear: He enjoyed Love and Thunder. If you ignore that this was a Thor movie and loosely based off a Marvel Comic series, it’s funny. Nevertheless, there were a lot of mistakes, especially when it came to Thor’s personality.
Chris Hemsworth was right when he said Thor lost his mind. While he was working out his body, it would have been nice for him to work out his mind. The God of Thunder went through more than anyone else in the MCU. This should have been the moment where he got back to being the greatest of the gods. Instead, he was more of a child than a god.
Hemsworth pointed out that he doesn’t know if he’ll be invited back. However, let’s be honest. If he wants to return as Thor, Marvel will have him. He’s been in eight Marvel Studios projects so far (nine if you count his cameo in Doctor Strange). He’s also the last of the trinity remaining (Steve Rogers and Tony Stark being the other two). Once Chris Evans and Robert Downy Jr. left, they could have closed the book on Chris Hemsworth and the God of Thunder as well.
If and when Marvel Studios wants Thor in another project, Chris Hemsworth will be the first person they call. There are more stories to tell. Especially with Loki being alive. Hopefully the director behind the next tale will leave the screaming goats off the script.
