4. More than just Batman

Everyone loves Batman. He’s a guy with no powers that manages to hang with literal and figurative gods. He’s even beaten some of them. His combination of fighting skills, intelligence, and wonderful toys all made him a fan favorite in cartoons, movies, and TV shows. Then there’s his rogues gallery of villains. It’s been said that having the best villains helped keep the Caped Crusader popular.

As great as the Dark Knight is, however, he’s not the only Bat-Family member that should be highlighted. The Bat-Family is more than just Bruce Wayne, Alfred, and Dick Grayson (Nightwing). Jason Todd (Red Hood), Barbara Gordon (Batgirl), and Tim Drake (Red Robin) are other members that people love. There are also newcomers like Harper Row (Bluebird), Helena Bertinelli (Huntress), and Cassandra Cain (Batgirl/Orphan) that comic book fans adore. Already that’s six Bat-Family members that could get TV shows or movies.

If you’re thinking to yourself, “Batwoman was canceled on The CW after three seasons” then allow this writer to point something out: The X-Men, Spider-Man, and Superman all had projects that failed. That’s not the fault of the actors or the character(s). Sometimes the project was on the wrong channel or it wasn’t in the right time slot. Batwoman could have fallen victim to any of these things – but in this case it was simply down to the fact that The CW was being sold and had to downsize its schedule. Going forward, a look at what the show got right and wrong could help superhero shows work in the future. A study that will help other DC Comics projects too.

All in all, we want more Bat-Family in the DCEU.
