3. More DC projects on HBO Max

The streaming wars have gotten heated over the last five years. What started with Netflix has turned into most people having at least five streaming services. Each of them have their own original content. When Disney Plus entered the streaming arena, they began creating original Star Wars and Marvel content. Maybe it’s time to make HBO Max (or Max)  the permanent home of DC content to stop putting shows on The CW – something they may have no choice in if the network’s new owners no longer want WB programming.

DC Comics has more than enough comic book characters to make content with. It doesn’t have to be the more famous heroes either. There’s no reason why Booster Gold, Black Canary, and Roy Harper can’t get their own projects. They don’t have to be full length movies or an ongoing series. If I Am Groot works in animated shorts, why not Red Hood and the Outlaws or Damian Wayne?

DC Comics should be bold. Find the right creative team and focus on more than just the regular comic book characters. Go a bit further and do more content only for adults. Harley Quinn does it and it’s a perfect show. Fans want variety. If it’s done right, people will watch it. Don’t forget, Wolverine wasn’t always a popular character. If he wasn’t put behind great writers, he’d be just another angry fighter with no depth.
