8. Steven Grant/Marc Spector

Marvel project: Moon Knight

Actor: Oscar Isaac

This writer said it before, but it’s worth repeating. Only someone as skilled as Oscar Isaac could play both Marc Spector and Steven Grant. Having to bounce between two drastically different personalities couldn’t have been easy, but Oscar Isaac made it look good. A performance that was certainly memorable.

When this writer made a list of the best characters in Moon Knight, Khonshu was at the top. Looking back on the show, Marc and Steven were better. That’s what good characters do. They make you reflect and realize they were better than you thought. What’s more impressive is that the creative team still has a lot to work with between the two personalities. Just wait until fans see Jake Lockley. When he debuts in full, Oscar Isaac could become the best actor in the MCU (if he isn’t already!).

She-Hulk episode 4, Wong, Marvel

7. Wong

Marvel projects: Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and She-Hulk: Attorney at Law

Actor: Benedict Wong

Wong did double duty this year. First, he was charged with protecting the Kamar-Taj and being the Sorcerer Supreme. One of those is difficult when the Scarlet Witch comes to fight. It’s another to do both. Wong may have failed to keep everyone alive, but he saved more than expected. Especially with Wanda attacking and Doctor Strange arguing that he should be Sorcerer Supreme.

Then there’s Wong’s role in She-Hulk. Watching his total disregard for human law was funny. He felt/knew he was above it and refused to acknowledge it. He went as far as to break Emil Blonsky out of prison knowing they’d find out. It’s not like anyone could stop him.

Lastly, seeing him cuddled up with Madisynn as they watched TV was one of the more memorable moments of the year. Not only was it funny, it was heartwarming. Madisynn calling him “Wongers” left the duo trending throughout the week.
