Character: Kathleen Coghlan
Kathleen Coghlan wasn’t in The Last of Us game but had a huge impact on the show. Her story was heartbreaking, ruthless, and showed the dark side of revenge. Speaking of revenge, that’s a topic that will be big in season 2. It makes sense that it would be part of season 1. Don’t be shocked if her story comes into play later.
Melanie Lynskey had one of the best performances on the show. She absolutely killed her role. If you’ve seen Yellowjackets on Showtime, you’re not shocked. She looks like an innocent mother. But, as the season progresses, you see that she has a dark side. This was perfect casting.
Jeffrey Pierce roles
Character: Perry
By Kathleen’s side was Perry. He was there to do anything that she needed to get done. Perry’s the soldier and second in command that every leader needs. Someone who’s not going to question their orders and make sure that the person in charge is reminded of their mission. Perry did all of that better than most.
The funny thing is Jeffrey Pierce was an important part of The Last of Us Game. He played Joel’s brother Tommy. Jeffrey Pierce went from playing one of the protagonists to someone trying to kill Joel and Ellie. It’s weird how life works like that.
