14. Savior Jared

Savior Jared seemed to delight in being a complete jerk. While the actor who plays him, Joshua Mikel, is a great guy, Savior Jared is the total opposite of that. He’s like the cousin that everyone tries to hide at the family reunion. Jared is petty, and stupid, and mean. And all of those traits combined with an itchy trigger finger make him dangerous.

At first, it seemed like Savior Gavin had a grip on Jared and could at least pull him back from a murderous edge when necessary. But Jared went too far when he shot Benjamin in the leg. It was meant to be a warning shot and a flesh wound that Benjamin would survive. But Jared missed and hit Benjamin in the femoral artery. Even though the group from The Kingdom rushed Benjamin to Carol’s Cottage, they weren’t able to save him.

Later, Jared faced off with Morgan in the old bar near the end of All Out War when Rick and Morgan were hunting a group of Saviors who had survived the battle for The Hilltop but had escaped from the prisoner pen where they were being kept. Morgan and Jared already had a history of antagonism from the drop-offs that Morgan made with The Kingdom crew to Gavin and his henchmen, including Jared.

So when Jared tried to kill Morgan, it was personal. And when Morgan held Jared against a metal gate and let him get torn apart, that was personal too. And very satisfying to see a wannabe power player like Jared get torn apart by the dead.
