Marvel Studios might not be hosting a Hall H panel at San Diego Comic-Con 2023, but it will be hosting an X-Men panel at the event!

While there is always a lot to look forward to at San Diego Comic-Con, for Marvel fans there is nothing that compares to the excitement of a Marvel Studios Hall H panel.

Whenever Marvel takes to Hall H, fans know they’re in store for a wave of exciting announcements from the studio about upcoming movies and shows. This is because Marvel Studios has typically used its Hall H panel at Comic-Con to unveil exciting casting announcements, confirm projects in the works, and debut first looks at upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe movies and shows.

So when Marvel Studios announced it would not be heading to Comic-Con this July for a Hall H panel, fans were understandably shocked and heartbroken. With Marvel opting not to host a Hall H panel, we’re unlikely to see much Marvel news during the event this July; however, it seems Marvel will still have a presence in the form of a panel that could yield a tease connected to an upcoming Disney Plus original series!

Marvel Comic-Con panel 2023 details

Marvel might not be hosting a Hall H panel at San Diego Comic-Con, but the brand will still be represented in at least one notable panel at the event! With the release of the full panel schedule for this July’s event, it has been confirmed Marvel will be hosting a special X-Men panel celebrating the 31st anniversary of X-Men: The Animated Series.

On Saturday, July 21, 2023, Marvel will bring fans the X-Men: The Animated Series 31st Anniversary Panel in Room 5AB. The event will feature appearances from Ron Wasserman, Elliott S Maggin, David McDermott, Brooks Wachtel, and Steven Melching with a discussion about their behind-the-scenes experiences in a panel moderated by Larry Houston.

While the event is designed to celebrate the anniversary of X-Men: The Animated Series, there definitely is a chance we could get an update on the status of the show’s upcoming Disney Plus revival, X-Men ’97.

Given the rumors about when the show might be coming, it’s possible the creative team could provide us with an updated release window for the show or even share a few teasers about what fans of the original series can expect from the revival!
