Loki season 2

The Marvel Cinematic Universe’s beloved trickster will finally return in the heavily anticipated second season of Disney Plus’ Loki. Coming over two years after the release of the first season, this one is set to be a major chapter in the MCU’s Multiverse Saga, which should come as no surprise if you have seen those first six episodes.

Loki currently holds the record of being the only one of Marvel Studios’ live-action Disney Plus shows to return for a second season. Its concept, which sees the God of Mischief and agents at the Time Variance Authority, travel through time to hunt for branching alternate timelines and realities, lends itself nicely to a series format, so that makes sense (as of now, the others are just one-season miniseries).

The show also marked the first time we met a variant of Kang the Conqueror, who is set to wreak havoc across the timeline as the MCU’s next big bad, so it’s safe to say excitement is high for season 2. And that’s not even factoring in how Loki, Sylvie, and Mobius have to deal with the repercussions of what went down in the season 1 finale.

Thankfully, we won’t have to wait too much longer as Loki season 2 is one of the lucky MCU TV shows to premiere later this year.

Premiere date: October 6, 2023
