Fear The Walking Dead season 8 part 2

The original Walking Dead spinoff will come to a close this fall when Fear The Walking Dead returns to screens for its final six episodes. AMC announced that the series would be concluding with its eighth season earlier this year, and the first six episodes of that eighth season aired in the summer, setting the stage for new spinoff Dead City to take its timeslot. After some speculation, it has been confirmed that it will return for its final installments in October.

Fear has had quite an up and down run throughout the years, with its decision to drop its prequel set-up and fast-forward to catch up with its parent series receiving overwhelmingly negative reviews from fans, particularly as it shoehorned TWD‘s Morgan in there at the expense of Fear‘s own protagonists. Thankfully, season 8 made a wise decision to bring back original leading lady Kim Dickens, giving Madison Clark the focus she always should have had.

Its rather poignant that Fear The Walking Dead will bow out at the same time of year that The Walking Dead did last year, but it’s also rather fitting. Fear was a juggernaut in its own right and it will be the end of another era when it wraps up.

Before that, however, we’re excited to see what adventures Madison takes us all on one last time.
