14. Shredder

"“There will be no mistakes this time… I go myself.” – Shredder"

Injustice is another video game produced by NetherRealm Studios. The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles were DLC characters in the game’s sequel. Since the Ninja Turtles remain a popular property, it’s time to take the next step and bring in Shredder.

Shredder fought Batman in the TMNT vs Batman cartoon and won. If anyone deserves a chance to be in the Mortal Kombat tournament, he should get in for that alone. That’s not the best part. Everything about him screams Mortal Kombat. His outfit is built with blades and his name is a violent verb. Plus, his action has been watered down in the movies. Imagine the kind of things he could do without the restriction of a PG-13 rating.

13. Bane (The Dark Knight Rises)

"“Peace has cost you your strength. Victory has defeated you.” – Bane"

Bane strikes this writer as the kind of person who would literally kill to get into the Mortal Kombat tournament. The good news for him is that killing is a requirement. He wouldn’t care about fighting the best in the world. He already believes he’s better than everyone. For him, it would be an excuse to show his strength and add to his already terrifying reputation.

DC Comics fans would love to play as an unrestrained Bane. Obviously, his X-ray move, brutality, or fatality would involve a backbreaker. It’s the most recognized move. But it wouldn’t stop there. It’s easy to see him punching someone’s head off their shoulders or pummeling them to death. He almost did that to Batman in The Dark Knight Rises.
