6. John Wick

"“Do I look civilized to you?” – John Wick"

John Wick is the epitome of what a Mortal Kombat character should be because he does everything with style and creativity. Every movie there’s a moment where the audience will be shocked and impressed with what they see. He makes even the simplest of things look impressive.

Picking fatalities and brutalities from John Wick would be difficult. In four movies he’s had at least 20 memorable kills. How do you choose? Is it death by a library book, pencil, car, or horse kick? And then there’s the murder by nunchucks, guns, or blades. To be honest, his “boring” attacks are exciting. This needs to happen.

5. Beatrix Kiddo

"“It’s mercy, compassion and forgiveness I lack. Not rationality.” – Beatrix Kiddo"

Kill Bill is among the most iconic action films of all time and Beatrix Kiddo, played by Uma Thurman, helped make it that way. She spectacularly slaughtered scores of assassins with simple swings of her Hattori Hanzo sword. Who wouldn’t want to see her do that to Scorpion, Sub-Zero, or Sonya Blade?

Mortal Kombat fans need a character like her. Especially someone who can do the Five-Point-Palm Exploding-Heart-Technique. Having that as a fatality won’t be gory. However, seeing a character take five steps and fall over wouldn’t get old. This is on top of the tons of ways she killed the Crazy 88. Each of them could be finishing moves in MK 1.
