3. Yuta Okkotsu

There’s no mistaking that Yuta Okkotsu parallels Yuji Itadori in many ways. They were both sentenced to death after the higher-ups realized that they both possessed powers that could not be contained, controlled, or regulated by the sorcerer society. They also have overpowered cursed spirits that were initially too much for them to control, but over time, they learned to use them to their benefit.

Where Yuta and Yuji diverge, however, is when it comes to inner strength, as Yuta’s natural-born abilities are so potent that his cursed spirit was created by him whereas Yuji’s was acquired.

In Jujutsu Kaisen 0, we witnessed how Yuta’s immense love for his childhood soulmate Rika Orimoto turned her into a cursed spirit after she died from getting hit by a car. While Yuta didn’t do this on purpose, because subjecting the love of his life to turning into a cursed spirit is more of a punishment for both of them as opposed to a blessing, the ability to do so in the first place is wild to think about, especially because he did it at such a young age.

Years later, Yuta continued to perfect his craft. So much so that he put up a good fight against Suguru Geto, while also making it a priority to protect his friends. What’s more, those who speak about what Yuta is up to when he’s away from Jujutsu High can’t help but praise him for completing his missions all by himself.

What could make Yuta Okkotsu stronger: With few weaknesses (and with little screen time thus far), the only attribute that would add to Yuta’s strength is time, as time will enable him to learn even more ways to be an asset to the sorcerer world. Time will also provide him with wisdom, which these young teens can definitely use more of.

Lastly, we think Yuta practicing some meditation will aid him greatly since he tends to be very neurotic and always looks very tired. (Get some rest, Yuta!)
