6. Ronen Rubinstein
When it comes to actors with the ability to take on interesting roles, we have to look at Ronen Rubinstein of 9-1-1: Lone Star and American Horror Stories. Not only has he given us versatility in his roles, but while he is on a very popular series on FOX, he is still not nearly as well known as some of his fellow costars. And this means that he is perfect for a role in the MCU.
For our next on-screen Quicksilver, we want an actor who already has a following, but isn’t necessarily on the level of a Chris Evans or a Zac Efron yet. We want someone who has already shown us that they are a great actor with a lot of flexibility, but who can truly embrace an iconic role without overshadowing the character.
It honestly feels like Rubinstein has what it takes to be a superhero, especially one with a past that saw him as an adversary of the X-Men before becoming a hero. He has the ability to be a tortured hero (he plays one on TV often enough in his role as TK on Lone Star) and also the level of agility to actually be a speedster on screen.
At the same time, he has already proven his ability to be a part of an ensemble cast and both stand out from the crowd and also find a way to lend his support to his fellow actors and actresses. And that is definitely what we want to see with the X-Men property.
