9. Black Canary (Earth-2 Laurel Lance)

Everybody loves a good redemption arc, and the Arrowverse’s greatest belongs to the woman formerly known as Black Siren. Originally appearing on The Flash, the Earth-2 doppelganger of Laurel Lance quickly proved herself to be a formidable foe. But it wasn’t until her full-time introduction on Arrow that she truly showed us all what she was capable of.

Originally an enemy of Team Arrow’s employed to manipulate the friends of her deceased doppelganger by Prometheus, Earth-2 Laurel constantly found herself drawn to the darkness. But through newly-formed friendships, a bond with Earth-1 Laurel’s father and the desire to be better than she was, she ultimately made the decision to leave the life of villainy behind, taking her doppelganger’s place as District Attorney of Star City before moving back to Earth-2 to become the Black Canary.

She then teamed up with former nemesis, Earth-1’s second Black Canary Dinah Drake, as the two decided to launch a new team of heroes called the Canaries. The pair then went to 2040 and aligned themselves with the Green Arrow of the Future, Mia Queen.

The last surviving resident of Earth-2, Laurel found her way to the light eventually and earned her stripes as a hero, becoming what was undoubtedly the show’s greatest adaptation of the Black Canary. The CW may have (wrongly) decided against greenlighting Green Arrow and the Canaries to series, but let’s just hope the Arrow finale wasn’t the last we have seen of this Black Canary.
