9. Chrissy Beppo

Chrissy Beppo is a delightful character. She was a joy in a recurring role throughout season 1 as she and Lois navigated their relationship as colleagues and friends, and she was even better in the second season when Sofia Hasmik was promoted to a regular role and Chrissy helped Lois investigate Ally Allston.

If we could describe Chrissy in just one word, it would be “quirky”, but even that wouldn’t sum up the multitudes she contains. She’s also enthusiastic, passionate, strong-willed, unintentionally funny and slightly socially awkward. All of those qualities make her a great reporter and an incredibly lovable part of the show.

The only downside is that the show leans into her awkwardness a little too much in season 3, as well as the character’s lack of self-confidence as she constantly questions herself, her relationship, and her behavior. It feels like a little bit of a character regression, and our hope for Chrissy is that she finds her way back to being the strong, independent reporter we saw in the first two seasons. She’s still in there just waiting to get out.

Nevertheless, Hasmik is a constant joy in the role, and there is no denying that whenever Chrissy is on-screen, you can just feel her energy.
