4. William Longfellow
And this is the brief yet memorable villain of the story. Every time he graces the screen, it’s like watching a pot of bad intentions simmering away. Between his dubious professional dealings and a personal life you wouldn’t wish on your worst enemy, he’s basically a walking red flag. Not to mention that literally everything that happens in that show is actually his fault.
The highlight? Seeing him face the music – or rather, the fingers of a not-so-dearly departed ex-lover. There was a sweet satisfaction in watching karma dance its macabre waltz.
Longfellow was the big-shot CEO of Fortunato Pharmaceuticals, and the real daddy to the tragic twins of the story, Roderick and Madeline Usher. The twins repulsed him, it seems, and he had a strict rule that they weren’t allowed to be anywhere near his house at any time.
He was pretty cruel about it, as he seemed to be a pretty cruel man regarding just about anything. Imagine the horror of being jolted awake, only to find an ex-employee and ex-lover you thought was six feet under now giving you a lethal neck massage.
He deserved it.
