10 DC characters the DCEU did dirty
1. Dick Grayson
You remember Dick Grayson, don’t you? The original Boy Wonder, who should have been living it up in the DCEU, cracking jokes and throwing punches. But no, the DCEU had other plans. They killed him off. Yeah, Robin was beaten to death by the Joker, which changed Batman forever. Sounds familiar? Yeah, that’s because it actually happened in the comics to Jason Todd.
Dick Grayson’s role as Nightwing was right there. But he was simply a hero that never was. And to think, we were all geared up for a dazzling Dick Grayson, and what did we get? A grave with a “Wrong Robin” name tag! We love Nightwing’s acrobatic stunts, smart quips, and killer moves. But instead, we got brooding Batfleck and a grim Batcave.
There was always this constant urge in the DCEU to rewrite history like they were editing an essay. But we’re not asking for grammar checks; we’re asking for our favorite characters to be treated right.
The worst thing the DCEU did was try to pass this story off as a canon timeline, but this was an Elseworld if I ever saw one. No one wanted a dead Dick, no one. Thankfully, the DCU will make up for the travesty that was.
