10. Lois Lane

The casting of the great Amy Adams was a fantastic choice. When we first caught a glimpse of Lois Lane, we saw the potential for a character who would be Superman’s ride-or-die. She was the perfect portrayal of the headstrong, slick-talking reporter we’ve come to know and love.

In Man of Steel, she demonstrated why she was a force and didn’t need Superman to be her savior. Instead, she was simply a woman who found herself in impossible situations, and Superman was there to help her out. In the end, we saw her assist him in establishing a secret identity. Lois knowing his identity from the start was a fresh take. In Batman v Superman, it was refreshing to see them without this lingering secret.

Then the franchise seemed to abandon her with little material given to Lois in Justice League. Not only that, but they were prepared to take Lois in a direction no one would have wanted by giving her a romance with Bruce. Not only that, she was to become pregnant with Bruce’s baby. One could argue she was a woman with needs, but Bruce? Nah.

Lois deserved better. She’s not the character they treated the worst, but she certainly deserves a better story.
